At your first appointment, we will discuss the forms you completed online prior to your appointment. I will welcome you at the time of your appointment and we will have a brief overview of the paperwork and then we will begin our session. I will do my best to make you feel as comfortable as possible. I always tell my clients I will never make them talk about anything that they are not ready to discuss. You can relax. I will ask you what has happened that brings you to counseling and what would you like to address in counseling.
I start out seeing my clients once a week or bi-weekly, working our way out to once a month once we both feel significant progress has been made. The session times vary from 45 minutes for an EAP counseling session to one hour as allowed by your insurance. All self pay appointments are 60 minutes.
New Leaf Counseling works with a variety of insurance companies. Fees incurred when accessing insurance benefits vary greatly and are dependent on your particular insurance provider. You may contact your insurance company to request information. I will submit your sessions to your insurance company and collect any co-pay due at the time of your session. I will submit sessions for EAP clients as well and these are usually limited by your EAP to a specified number of sessions. Cash pay clients are also accepted. Payment is due at the time of your appointment. My rate for an hour session is $95.00. Payments can be made by debit, credit, or health savings account card or by cash or check.

Counseling sessions need to be cancelled 24 hours in advance. Please call 864-612-3004 if you need to cancel a previously scheduled appointment. Please note that there is a $50.00 fee for missed appointments without giving prior notice.
